PARENT 2 PARENT MANCHESTER

What Can We Do For You?

The more important question would be what can we all do for each other. At one point or another we have all been in similar situations. It's good to talk about these things. Talk through our struggles so that they don't seem as overbearing as they are when we face them alone. But we also need people there to celebrate our successes. Parent 2 Parent is a safe space. It is a compassionate space.

We are here to help you, support you, and hopefully provide a light at the end of a tunnel.

We understand that not everyone will be able to make it to in person meetings. Parent 2 Parent will also be having a significant online presence through both our Facebook page and this website. We have a forum posted here that you can use to discuss anything you might need. It will be monitored lightly but use each other, knowledge is the most valuable currency we have, sharing it makes us all equally rich.

We promise that you can benefit just as much from the online group as you can from the in person.

There are a lot of services available out there for children with disabilities, and a lot of places that have the provisions to help parents if they need it. We have made the phone calls, and wrote the emails and we have a lot of information that we want to share and make common knowledge, we will be posting this as soon as possible and it will all be available for you on the 'blog' area of the website, or by pressing the 'support and help' button next to this. Let us know if you are looking for something specific and we will do our best to find it for you.

What To Do Now?

There is no such thing as a no child zone, You will never be excluded because you have to care for a child. Bring them! There'll be enough biscuits for them too.

Absolutely not, unless its Jaffa Cakes, they are always welcome in the safe space.

Can you help me find the services I need?

We can give it a good go. We have been there, if we can't there is a very good chance that somebody in the group will be able to, or have a rough idea of where to start. We will always give it our best effort to help you find exactly what you need.
